Baldwin Fehrrlic is the current leader of the CPED, and is deemed an insurrectionist, public enemy, and traitor by the Caradian state.
Baldwin's mother, Media Fehrrlic, was the previous Lady of Nașichest, which, though a comparatively humble position of authority (only having dominion over a single city), afforded him access to a higher level of education at the Relacul Institute of Science. This education allowed him to take a higher position when he eventually joined the armed forces in 1664 AN.
Baldwin left the armed forces in 1674, becoming a political figure in Nașichest; the core of his political ideology rested on ideas of moderate liberalisation, particularly of the social order. He called for a more lax policy on the state religion and lessened discrimination against the Dochvern. These ideas generated social stigma and, in 1676, caused Media to be ousted from her office as Lady of Nașichest. Baldwin continued with his political career, severing ties with his family.
In late 1677, following the official opening of the country to the outside world, he began to study the governing systems of foreign powers. In particular, he observed democratic and parliamentary systems and how they functioned in relation to the economy. He became gradually more radical, starting the CPED and calling for a reduction of monarchical power. These ideas shifted eventually towards the dissolution of the monarchy as an institution, as well as the dissolution of state religion, and his economic ideas shifted in favour of pure communism. His party failed to gain many supporters among Caradian citizens, but he did gain a surprising amount of support from poor Dochvern and tribal Sacovians from the unclaimed areas of Sacovia.
Following the outlaw of the party in early 1678, Baldwin vanished from public life, allegedly moving with his supporters to Sacovia, so as to start a shadow campaign against the Caradian monarch. Him and the CPED are allegedly behind the actions of LONSS in 1678. There is also a minor but existing rumour that Baldwin is actually Ròneau d'Àgrôvia, but this theory was discredited by the Serfești.
In 2.IX.1679 it was discovered that CPED had formed the People's United Republic of Ald-Arbora in norther Sacovia. Baldwin Fehrrlic, as chairman of the CPED, had been elected by the local shell of a parliament structure as the People's Steward of Ald-Arbora, and had a limited executive position in the self-proclaimed nation.
Baldwin Fehrrlic was killed by a missile strike on Ald-Arbora by Caradia on 24.X.1679.
