History
At the time that northwest Cibola had been colonized by Batavia, Nederburg was part of Batavian-Cibola. Nederburg existed as a grand duchy as a state of the Batavian Commonwealth. The grand duke was Roelof van Nederburg, who in 1548 AN committed a bomb attack in the throne room of the Koninklijk Paleis in 's Koningenwaarde.
Nederburg became part of South Batavia and later the area went to the Cibolian JIngdao. The name disappeared from the map.
In 1675 AN the "reconquista" (recapture) of Batavian-Cibola was started, with parts of the ancient Nederburg. The cities of Herckenburg, Heemecht and Willemstad came back on the map, but also the city of Fergustein, which was the name giver of an ancient lost principality in the same area.
