Sevetian People's Assembly
The Sevetian People's Assembly (Sevetian: Sevetlenhant Sagam) is Sevetia's unicameral legislature. The parliament building is known as the Pokoredara, and is located in Nankad.
History
The People's Assembly was established in December 2018 with the aim of establishing the State of Sevetia. Initially, it had 49 members from various towns across Sevetia. The State of Sevetia was declared on 21 December, with the People's Assembly running the provisional government. A constitution for the was promulgated soon after.
The People's Assembly in its current form first met on 6 April 2019 (ST 00-04-23), when the First Government replaced the Provisional Government.
Composition
Currently, the Sevetian People's Assembly has 100 members, elected through Government Service National Examinations. The apportionment of prefectures' seats is determined by law. Each member must hold his or her position for at least one year, and no longer than two years. People who have served as members of the People's Assembly cannot run for a second term, or hold any other government position.

Prefectures of Region 5 have no representatives, since they were created after the First Government was formed.
Powers
The main responsibilities of the People's Assembly include the making of laws, usually at the request of the Cabinet, the approval of the national budget, and the ratification of treaties. The People's Assembly also designates the President, and can dissolve the Cabinet partially or totally if a motion of no confidence is passed.
Bills passed in the People's Assembly are promulgated by the President in order to become law. The President cannot refuse to promulgate laws.
