The Zyrkis League 1 is a men's professional football league sanctioned by the Zyrkis Football Association (ZFA), which represents the sport's second highest level in the Zyrkis Footballing Pyramid.
The league will host its first season starting from 2022 onwards as a new format of the league was introduced. The league consists of 8 clubs from all over Zyrkistan participating.
League format
Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored.
At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If the points, goal difference, goals scored, and head-to-head results between teams are equal, head-to-head records between the teams are used, followed by a better fair play record.
The top two clubs that finish 1st and 2nd at the end of season will be promoted to the Zyrkis Super League for the next season.
Registration rules
Clubs are allowed to register at max 6 foreigners a season while they are only allowed to field 3 on the matchday squad at once.
