2022 Zyrkis League 1

The Zyrkis League 1 was a men's professional football league sanctioned by the Zyrkis Football Association (ZFA), which represented the sport's second highest level in the Zyrkis Footballing Pyramid.

The league hosted its first season starting from 2022 onwards as a new format of the league was introduced. The league consisted of 8 clubs from all over Zyrkistan participating.

League format

Teams received three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points were awarded for a loss. Teams were ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored.

At the end of each season, the club with the most points was crowned league champion. If the points, goal difference, goals scored, and head-to-head results between teams were equal, head-to-head records between the teams were used, followed by a better fair play record.

The top two clubs that finished 1st and 2nd at the end of season were promoted to the Zyrkis Super League for the next season.

Registration rules

Clubs were allowed to register at max 6 foreigners a season while they were only allowed to field 3 on the matchday squad at once.
