The Sultan

Sultan Salah Ad-Din I

The Sultan is the ceremonial head-of-state of Kurum Ash-Sharqia. Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni is the nation's first Sultan. He was offered the crown in 1700 AN because of his outstanding tenure as president of New Batavia. The reigning sultan appoints a crown prince from within his house, who will ascend the throne on the sultan's abdication or demise. In 1701 AN he married Batavian princess Elisabeth Asara des Vinandy. As a consequence of that marriage, he automatically became a knight of the Holy Lakes in Hurmu.
