Arcadian Catologian Church
The Arcadian Catologian Church, in short: Arcadian Church, is a division of Catologism, as it originated in Batavia. The church is the official church of the Kingdom of Arcadia, but not a state church.
History
Catologism originated in Batavia, introduced by a prophet Hieronymus Erasmus. Catologism was then distributed in Flanders and Kasterburg. By the Batavii and later by Calbion Catologism ended up in Arcadia. Where it exists as separate and independent within the Arcadian Catological Church.
Council of Windsorum
In the years 1662-1663 Catologism on the Jasonian Archipelago was not organized. This changed when the Council of Windsorum took place. During the council the Arcadian Catological Church was officially established. The Ordinis Ecclesia et Windsorum is based on the founding and further development of Arcadian Catologism.
Ordinis Ecclesia et Windsorum
In this document the organization of the church is recorded, as well as the dogmas:
In the year 1663 of Cato, by the beliefs present in peace agreement established: Ordinis Ecclesia et Windsorum At the time of the Council of Windsorum we found that the believers unintentionally had no connection with the Batavian Catological Church, so that leadership was lacking from there. We hereby ordain the union of the faithful under the direction of the Arcadian Catological Church. Principle et dogmatum The principiis religionis (principles of religion) are: • Cato is one and has no equal; • People are equal and are dear. Doctrina est matrimonium It is good for men and women to marry. Only for certain offices in the church is marriage excluded. The marriage is concluded between a man and a woman, both of whom enter into marriage on a voluntary basis. The basis for a legitimate marriage is the marriage contract, which is drawn up by the fathers of the future marriage partners. A pastor can act if a father is unable to draw up a marriage contract. In a marriage contract at least: the bride price, responsibilities, inheritance, conditions for divorce and alimony. The marriage partners sign this contract. The bishop can grant permission to widen the marriage so that a man can marry several women. In the marriage contract the position of every woman should be recorded and the position of any children. A marriage between partners that are related to the fourth degree is not permitted. Structure of the church At the head of the Arcadian Catological Church is the archbishop of Windsorum. He is the highest servant of the church and the leadership of the church is assigned to him. He appoints bishops about every diocese of the church. A diocese consists of parishes, about which a bishop appoints a pastor. A pastor with a special mission is appointed by the archbishop. The church has no subjects, but believers. The belongings of the church are set under the law of the land. Believers can jointly form a claustrum (monastic order). Each claustrum establishes its own rules, which may not go against the rules of this church order. Recognition of a claustrum is granted by the archbishop, who assigns a claustrum to a bishop. The Militaris ordinis of the Knights Templar is a special organization within the church and only accountable to the archbishop. The archbishop, the bishops, believers within a claustrum are bound to celibacy. Catodral The building of catodrals, the buildings for the gatherings of believers, is subject to approval by the archbishop or bishop. A catodral must contain at least a dome, because a catodal is the domus (house) of Cato. No people or animals may be buried in a catodral. There should not be a burial under the catodal, or any other form of burial in or under the building. There is no cemetery directly around or in front of the building. Believers can enter the catodal without going past or over graves. The archbishop has his headquarters in the Catodral of Windsorum. |
