Ligue 1 is the top tier of the football league system in Nouvelle Alexandrie and is renowned for its competitiveness, quality of talent, and popularity across Nouvelle Alexandrie. It features 20 clubs from cities across the country, each with its own rich history and traditions in football.

Background

Ligue 1 was established in XXXX by the Fédération Nouvelle Alexandrienne de Football (FNAF). Inheriting the rich histories and traditions of Alexandrian, Caputian, Aldurian and Wechu football and continues to attract some of the best players and coaches from around Nouvelle Alexandrie and beyond. The league is considered a major showcase for football talent in the country and is highly sought-after by players, coaches, and fans alike.

Competition Format

The 20 clubs in Ligue 1 compete fiercely for the coveted title and a place in Nouvelle Alexandrie's premier club competitions. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation, with the bottom two clubs being relegated to Ligue 2, and the top two clubs from Ligue 2 being promoted to Ligue 1. The league operates on a round-robin format, with each club playing each other twice during the season. The club with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion.
