Draguți is a special administrative region under Daau which stretches towards the east, nearby the channel between Daau and Aeland Belaov.
Despite being a relatively underdeveloped city, Draguți experienced a burst of investment when large pockets of natural gas were discovered nearby the settlement.
The city is now under Dauian control following the full blown conflict between the locals and the Dauian army.
Etymology
The town was originally named “Dună”, due to its proximity to Eura’s sandy plains and desert to the north of the republic in which the city lies. It was eventually renamed by a grieving King Nicolae I along with the district that the city was in, the district being named “Frate” (“Brother”), and the city being renamed to “Draguți”, both in honour of King Nicolae’s brother Alecsi Droguți, who was believed to have perished at the collapse of Caradia, though the latter name was slightly corrupted to fit in the word patterns of the modern iteration of Sarnechi.
Energy Industry
The energy industry of Draguți is under complete control by the DEC, with every part of the process between extracting natural gas and the storage of the carbon monoxide resulting from its use in manufacturing hydrogen fuel owned by the company. The company makes as much effort as reasonable to direct the efforts of the town toward the energy industry, importing food, water, and other things from Daas on behalf of the city.
The city is not only home to the company’s headquarters, but also to 42 different hydrocarbon extraction wells nearby, with more under development. It also houses DEC Refinery #1, the facility that both uses steam-methane methods to convert methane into hydrogen and also converts resulting carbon dioxide from the reaction into carbon monoxide to be used as a reducing agent and in metal manufacturing. Hydrogen created by the facility is stored in a palladium mesh tank inside the facility until the deposits of natural gas are drained and can be converted into underground hydrogen storage zones.
Energy produced for the town itself, however, mostly makes use of the stretches of arid land to the city’s north that have very high solar potential, with solar farm construction continually upgrading to support the city’s growing population in the face of increasing interest by the Dauian government in hydrogen power.
All equipment were left behind by the SSEC and were rebuilt by the Daau Energy Company following the city's fall to Daau. The SSEC has moved out of the city as they find the Dauian's intrests clashing with their personal interests.
Infrastructure
The city’s focal point is the DEC drilling and refining operations, and the majority of the city’s population works for the company in some fashion, while the remainder work largely for infrastructure investments intended to allow the city to continue its rapid growth rate. The city hosts multiple schools, a BRFN cathedral, a library, and a medical clinic funded by the Frate chapter of the Frăția de Cenușii.
