The chartered cities of Jääland are the five cities of Jääland who signed a contract of unification in 1678, creating the independent and sovereign state of Jääland. Each of the cities is features on the coat of arms and the flag of Jääland as golden mural crowns.
The five chartered cities are:
Kesäranta, Jääland's second-largest city, is not a chartered city under this definition, as it was brought to Jääland's sovereignty much later.
