The Islands of The Honorable Vanderveer and His Kin (shorthand Vanderveer Isles, or Van Isles) are a duo of temperate islands, in which three city-states, of about 60,000 sq km, are located: Tempestad, Corozón, and Galicia. These islands have a long history as a part of The Gralan Empire. There is also an ancient but short history under The Vanderveer Reich which included a proliferation of content and even the creation of the MicrOlympics.12

Fraternities
Ancient fraternities exist keeping the wealth of their ancestors alive. Fraternities exist to maintain the ships, their use and architecture, as well as how to maintain them and build new ones. Most sea-fairing Fraternities of today spend their time mostly maintaining the smaller vessels for fishing around the islands, travel and trade between the islands is supported by other fraternities. A few select fraternities harbor the sole responsibility to maintain and man the largest vessels, of which less than half a dozen exist today.
