Inspired by the [[Territories Cup]] previously held in [[Mercury]], the tournament was possible after the [[Branniboria national football team]] was founded in 2024, bringing the total number of countries to four. The tournament was also established to provide the countries of Branniboria and Salem the opportunity to compete on an inter-country stage, as neither team is affiliated with the [[FMF]].
