The Stedenvertaling is a translation of the Holy Scripture of the Nazarene religion that was commissioned by the Steden-Generaal of the Republic of the United Cities of the Lanzerwald in 1710 and which was published in parts from 1711 onwards, with the last book finished in late 1714. The translation is very similar to the Stadtparlementübersetzung of 1703, which made the translation of the Stedenvertaling relatively straightforward. Use of the Stadtparlementübersetzung as a guide for the translation was chosen because it felt that other translations used by heretical churches abroad misrepresented the source texts to cloud the clear scriptural message on salvation, it was also feared that by using divergent translations in the different language areas of the Lanzerwald, divergent theologies might arise that would not only be heretical, but also divisive.

Because of the similarities of Cibolan-Diets and Batavian, the Stedenvertaling was selected for mission work to Batavia and the Islamic Republic of New Batavia.
