After breakfast, headed out to outside Natopian jurisdiction, due to seismic anomalies (not sure what they are, but the geologists, particularly Pete (ever so cute!), got really excited). "Officially", I will look into the effect of seismic anomalies on local lichen, hehe. Unofficially, we'll have fun. It's rare to get to explore the "Green", especially when something cool might have happened. Set up camp 88 degrees S, 35 degrees W.).

Reached the outskirts of the ruined city of Theogiorick. Once upon a time, it apparently housed a million people. Now it's a frozen hell-hole. Temperature today -44 degrees.
There, we saw strange bipedal creatures further away, closer to the former industrial areas of the city (I had enjoyed windowshopping frozen clothes – whatever did happen to the locals... No dead people anywhere, but everything is as if frozen in time, pardon the pun...). These creatures were nothing like I'd seen before. They seemed large, about the size of a big monkey, but moved somewhat sluggishly. There was something curious about the gait – but could be just that they were hard to observe via our binoculars).
