The Freestate of Ghent (Vrijstaat Gent) was a province of the Virtual United Provinces. It was founded on 22 January 2007 from the territory of East Flanders. On 24 January 2007 it ratified the Union of Utrecht 2007, forming the United Provinces with the Freestate of Antwerp.

Ghent had a vibrant culture and lots of parties. Its culture was more or less leftist in nature. Ghent was also the first province with an active economy.
