The Resident for Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï is the representative of the Executive of Hurmu in Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï, and an ex officio member of the Council of Shared Sovereignty. Between 1714 and 1717, the position was a cabinet-level one under the name Minister for Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï. Prime Minister Jamshid-e Osman did away with the ministers for the condominiums in 1717, replacing them with residents.
