2022-23 Daau Premier League

The Daau Premier League (abbreviation: DPL) is a men's professional football league sanctioned by the Daau Football Association (DFA), which represents the sport's second highest level in the Daau Footballing Pyramid. The league is officially known as the BSL Daau Premier League for sponsorship reasons.

The league will host its first season starting from 2022 onwards as a new format of the league was introduced. The league plans to have 8 clubs in its first season and plans to expand further later on, consisting of three rounds in which each team plays every other team once. Seasons run from late August to late April, with teams playing 21 matches each, totalling 147 matches in the season.

League format

Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored.

At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If the points, goal difference, goals scored, and head-to-head results between teams are equal, head-to-head records between the teams are used, followed by a better fair play record.

There is relegation and promotion in the league, the bottom 2 clubs of the table are relegated to the Daau League. The top 2 are promoted to the Daau Super League. The top two of the Daau League are promoted to the league.

Registration rules

Clubs are allowed to register at max 5 foreigners a season while they are only allowed to field 4 on the matchday squad at once. For Krasnovlac AA, they are allowed to register up to 25 Krasno players a season.

Clubs

There are currently 8 teams in the newly formed league with Krasnovlac AA being the only team that is outside of all foreign rules as they are allowed to register up to 25 foreigners a season.
