The Wangzi Dynasty, or Dynasty of the Princes, was (according to the Greater Jing School) the ruling dynasty in Jingdao between 265 and 987 AN. Its ruler, originally a Prince of the Silver Rank came to power during the Peasant Revolt of 265 and ascended the Heavenly Throne under the celestial name Nongmin. It saw its demise under the reign of the Qinzong Emperor when a military commander abused his power to usurp the Throne in 987 AN. It eventually set the stage for the rise of the decentralised Youya Dynasty.
