2020 Ice Hockey World Cup

The Ice Hockey World Cup is the highest level of international ice hockey competition jointly organised by the Intercontinental Hockey League and the Micras Hockey League, the governing body of the sport on Micras. The World Cup is played under ICHL rules unlike the annual MHL World Championships and the tournament is held every two years, competed by twelve qualified nations. The tournament will be first be held in 2020 in Northcliff and Dragonmoor, Florian Republic. Unlike the MHL World Championships which has a slight overlap with the Farrar Cup Playoffs, the tournament is held when the ICHL season and MHL World Championships have concluded allowing all the league's players to be available.

Qualification

The MHL organise qualification rounds in order to narrow-down their affiliated nations to fill the remaining places in the tournament. The eight highest-ranked teams at the MHL World Championships one year before the tournament plus the hosts qualify for the tournament automatically with the rest of member nations going through qualifying from October to February.
