As a result of the 2021 New Batavian secession referendum, the Provisional Government of Kurum Ash-Sharqia was responsible for the secession of the New Batavian governorates of Al-Ard Al-Moestasliha and Dar Al-Hoeriya to form the new nation of Kurum Ash-Sharqia.
Legal basis
The Provisional Government was established by article 13 of the Act secession and recognition Kurum Ash-Sharqia 2021 on August 31, 2021. Its main goal was to ensure legal continuity and to draft a constitution.
Membership

For the membership of the Provisional Government, the Act secession and recognition Kurum Ash-Sharqia 2021 referred article 8 of the to the Act referendum secession 2021. In this act, representatives were appointed to negotiate on the seceding governorate's behalf with the central government:
- the governors of Al-Ard Al-Moestasliha (Anas Khatib) and Dar Al-Hoeriya (Zayd de Smid)
- 5 members appointed by the governors
- the members of the Majlis-ash-Shoera that reside in the seceding governorates (Faisal Van Looveren among others)
At the first formal meeting of the Provisional Government, Faisal Van Looveren was appointed its chairman.

- Offering the throne to Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni, who accepted
- Organizing the 1700 general election
