The Fixed Air Defence Observation Platform, commonly known as the "Flaktower", is a fortified structure used for air defence. It was originally developed by the Imperial Babkhan Armed Forces, and has since been adopted by many countries of the Raspur Pact.
The Flaktower is a large, imposing structure, typically consisting of several floors. The lower levels are used for storage and maintenance, while the upper levels are dedicated to the air defence systems. The most notable feature of the Flaktower is its vertical launch system, which is used to fire air-defence and anti-ballistic missiles such as the Geneva family of missiles. The tower is also equipped with air defence radars, which can detect incoming aircraft and missiles.
In addition to its military capabilities, the Flaktower also serves as a command hub and operations room. This allows military commanders to coordinate air defence efforts and respond to threats in real-time. The Flaktower is also equipped with various point-defence systems, such as anti-aircraft guns, which can be used to engage enemy aircraft at close range.
Despite its imposing appearance and formidable defences, the Flaktower is not invulnerable. Many of these structures have been destroyed by heavy bombing during the Second Elwynnese Civil War, and their effectiveness can be limited by the rapid advancement of aircraft technology. However, the Flaktower remains a valuable asset for military forces around the world, providing a powerful and versatile platform for air defence operations.
