On 1715.III.5 the Count of Highpass Oze IV mounted his late father's ass and set out on the road from Rhodondra to Shirekeep. Oze had during the last couple of years become more and more disheartened at the increasing calls for democratic reform. Highpass belonged to his family, who had not yet had time to build its powerbase sufficiently to ward off a potential democratic revolution. To preempt such an event, Oze decided to swear fealty to Salome, to protect his position and to nip the democracy movement in the bud. Having lost his limousine in a game of Tic Tac Toe with his oldest daughter, he was relegated to riding the ass his father left him when he died.

Upon his arrival to Shirekeep, he was granted an audience with Salome and swore his fealty to her as his legal sovereign and liege lord. In return, Salome created him Count Palatine, making Highpass a County Palatinate and direct imperial subject. Information about exactly what he said is scarce, since the Count has a well-known bad memory and forgot his notebook at home.

Bappity Boppity.* It was done.

* An ancient phrase in Passikaans meaning "and thus".
