Following the reestablishment of the Kingdom of Nova England, there was a great need to move labour and materials across secured territories. The Provisional Witan consulted with a number of private companies to investigate and design a new rail system to provide this vital element of infrastructure. Síðian Rail Services was soon awarded the contract, they utilised old routes that had long fallen into disrepair as the basis for new mainlines.

Services

All lines currently operated offer both passenger and freight services. Passenger services are operated by SRS, with regular services provided on all routes throughout the day and much of the evening.

Freight services are operated by Yblad Shipping & Transportation, with most freight being transported containerised and typically including; Hemp oil, construction materials, grain and other materials & goods.

Security

As construction of the rail lines commenced the Ministry of Internal Affairs established the Railway Auxiliary to help guard remote railway stations and provide security on trains. In remote areas the Railway Auxiliary also operate small armoured trains to patrol routes and escort railway engineers.
