Edu was involved with a scandal back in 2022 regarding his nationality before discovering that he did not hold an Oportian citizenship and his parents had provided false information when he signed up for youth academies at a young age. The case was closed with his parents being fined and detained for providing false information and falsifying legal documents.
Youth Career
Born in Mataba, Edu would move to Daau with his father as his mother left him at a young age. He would join local club Vortushabul FF's youth setup at the age of 12 and would stay with the club for 10 years for development purposes, hailed as one of the top academy graduates in 2015, he was signed by Warriors SC following a successful trial.

Signing with the Warriors on an academy graduate deal, Bendini would make his first appearance as a left midfielder starting against DJNP in the Dauian Lower League
Cezero Negrata
Bendini would join fellow Southern Seragaan League club Cezero Negrata for a mere fee of Cr 3k following top drawer performances at Warriors SC. He would stay with Cezero for 6 years before leaving at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Seragaan FC
Following a successful season in the Southern Seragaan League, Bendini was spotted at Seragaan FC's training ground and was officially announced as their new signing as a backup defender for the 2021/22 season. Edu would manage to break into the starting eleven following the sudden departure of Shahril Ishac to Jurong West, showcasing his top quality during the season and claiming a Defender of The Year award in the 2021/22 season.
Edu would be struck by a grade 1 hamstring injury at the start of the 2022/23 season and was forced to sit out for 4 weeks before moving on.
Sultan FC
On 12th November 2022, Sultan FC announced the shock agreement to sign Edu Bendini for Cr 25k. He would leave Seragaan FC in the January transfer window.
