The Wakara People's Party (Wakara: Wakara Nitaino Areyto, WPP) is a New Alexandrian regional political party in the Region of Boriquén. The party is considered left-wing, and advocates for Wakara rights, keeping the Plan of Hato Rey, and the integration of Boriquén and the Wakara people into New Alexandrian society. Its main ideology, created and advanced by its founders and co-leaders Mayani Guacanagari and Beatriz Daguao, is known as Guaitiao progressivism.
Formed in 1722 AN after the admission of Boriquén as Region of Nouvelle Alexandrie, the WPP first competed in the 1723 general elections, winning 34 seats in the Federal Assembly and taking control of the regional government of Boriquén in local elections. It is, as of 1728 AN, the fourth largest party in the Federal Assembly and provides confidence and supply to the Federal Humanist Party minority government. The WPP operates only out of the Region of Boriquén.
