Zayd de Smid was a politician in New Batavia and Kurum Ash-Sharqia.

He was governor of Dar Al-Hoeriya at the time of secession. In that capacity, he was a member of the Provisional Government. In 1719 AN, at the 20th anniversary of secession, he was awarded the title of Officer of the Order of As-Saif.
