| Purpose | To unify the Reformist Bloc and the Agrarian Bloc into a single political party |
In late 1750 AN, the central committees of the Reformist Bloc and the Agrarian Bloc filed a petition to the National Electoral Commission of Aerla to begin the process of merging the two parties into a unified party for the 1755 election. The petition was endorsed by President Thomas Guthrie.
Analysts state that, if accepted, the merger could have a vast impact on Aerla's political landscape. The Conservative Bloc decried the petition, calling it a "blatant power grab" by the Reformists.
