The National Electoral Commission (NEC) (Commonspeak: Nasonal Elekton Kommisan) is the independent election regulation agency of Aerla. It's duty is to regulate and monitor the conduct and financing of political campaigns in national and local elections. Members of the commission are independent from any political party and act as independent watchdogs to ensure campaigns are run in accordance to Aerlan law.
Founded in 1709 AN, it's powers were defined in the Campaign Financing Act of 1713 and the Electoral Conduct Act of 1715.
