The Combat Engineering Corps was separated from the Ópla Ypostírixis Máchis (Combat Support Arm) of the Imperial Constancian Army in 1744 AN and bolstered by assets transferred from the Surenid Forces of the Home Guard. The cantonments of the Combat Engineering Corps were established in the Surenid city of Kara.
