Initially developed by agents of the Honourable Company to slow the movement of Jingdaoese shipping past Port Félix during the Euran War. Further examples were laid in the approaches to Novi Nigrad to deter Shirerithian ships from closing with the shore during the Sathrati Emergency (1730–1731).
