The Vegno 2024 AEFA Copa Apollonia bid is an intended bid by Vegno to host the 2024 Copa Apollonia. The bid was first announced by the Vegnese football federation on TBD date.

==Background==

Vegno has never hosted or participate to an official international competition. The first idea of an official presentation for the organization of the Apollonia Cup was born with the Mancuso II Cabinet, when the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities Juan J. One unofficially agreed to the proposal of the FCV president Manuele Cocci for a possible official proposal for the organization of the Copa Apollonia 2024.

With the establishment of the new government after the elections of 1714, a maneuver was formally approved by the government for the allocation of state funds for the expansion of the existing public stadiums in Vegno, as well as a modernization of the infrastructures.
FCV President Manuele Cocci announced at the bid launch that he has the personal commitment of the then-Vegnese Prime Minister, Shalva Mancuso, and the President of the Republic, Luca Zarrella, who announced officially the  Government's support for the bid in TBD. In TBD month, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Papu J. Papasso, announced that the government would give Football Federation of Vegno 45 million Rin to fund its Copa Apollonia bid preparation. The leaders of the Opposition, Marco M. Unno and Haldi Rinaldi,  affirmed the support also of the Opposition-parties on TBD date and again at the formal launch of the bid in TBD.

On TBD, the Government established a task force, which will negotiate with governments regarding responsibility for stadium improvements, new facilities and financial guarantees. It will also organise and clarify ground-sharing arrangements with other sports and possible compensation for loss of venues.

Following the agreement with the government, the president of the FCV officially presents the candidacy of Vegno to organize the Copa Apollonia 2024 on the date TBD.

| Due to the quality of the stadium, and the stadium's capacity, it is already in AEFA standards, and the only work planned is about enlarging its capacity to TBD. It was proposed to host the opening match for the tournament, in addition to group stage, round of 16, quarterfinal, semifinal and the final.

| Having been the centrepiece of the [[2000 Summer Olympics|2000 Sydney Olympic Games]], as well as the final match of the [[2015 AFC Asian Cup]], this existing stadium is already in FIFA standards form to host tournament matches. Australia's bid proposes the stadium host the final match, as well as group stage, round of 16, quarterfinal, and semifinal matches.

| Upgrades completed in 2010 replaced the western stand. For the tournament, the stadium will have a 48,000-seat capacity to house group stage, round of 16, and quarterfinal (or third place) matches. Further development of eastern and southern stands completed in 2014 regardless of bid failure. Overall capacity following re-development is 53,583 with 50,083 seats and standing room for a further 3,500.

| Regarded as the best rectangular sports stadium in Australia, the Brisbane Stadium is already acceptable by FIFA standards for the tournament. Proposed group stages, round of 16, and quarterfinal/third place matches will find a home here.
