The FC-25 Mastema is a gravimetric gunship. The production version of a lengthy development process, which began with FC-15 Stoat and matured in the FC-20 Egregore experiments, the design philosophy of the Mastema is more akin to a flying warship rather than a flying tank, which was the basis for the pre-fracture design philosophy.

Design

Despite relying on a gravimetric drive for lift, the Mastema sports two short wings, each with a gimbled jet engine mounted on its end. This positioning maximizes available torque and grants the Mastema a high degree of maneuverability despite its size, as well as a means for a controlled landing in the event of a gravimetric drive failure. The wings provide hardpoints for swappable weapons modules, allowing the Mastema's armament to be customized per its mission profile. Default configuration is for multiple-round short-range air-ground rocket launchers.
