The Mengjiang Emperor, known during his lifetime as Mordechai Ben Erasmus, was a king of Batavia and Grand Duke of South Batavia. He was emperor of Jingdao from 1587 to 1592, before the independence was formally declared. The Mengjiang Emperor is the founder of the Erasmus Dynasty of Heavenly Lights. He is considered to be one of the Great Lights of Jigndao.
