Karl Philipp Arthur Jürgen Battenberg (born in Schneedünen, 1.VI.1617) is a whaler from Whales, Lord of Schneedünen since 1688. Famous for proposing the name Principality of Whales and the flag of Whales (both proposals adopted) during the 1685–1687 Two Martyrs constitutional convention.

Family

Son of Philipp Battenberg and Elisabeth née Koburg.

Married twice. First time was with Franziska, with whom he had two children, Wilhelm and Heinrich. After Franziska died, he married his mistress Rosalind.
