The Sanamati Democratic Party is a break-away political party in Sanama, formed when the revolutionary part of the Sanaman Liberation Front broke away to form the Sanaman Liberation Front (revolutionary) in the build-up to the Sanaman election in 1697. The party has a dual leadership consisting of Muqana Soke and Piter Oreya. The dominant faction within the SDP is communalist, anarchist, feminist, ecological and socialist. There also exist smaller factions of communists, Diegist-Mallikists and others. The SDP forms the dominant part of the Peoples' Front, currently engaged as one faction in the Sanaman Civil War. The party changed name to the current Sanamati Democratic Party at the start of the Sanaman Civil War, when it also took control of the Peoples' Front. During the civil war the party organised the proto-polity the Sanaman Federation of Democratic People's Republics as an umbrella organisation for the various democratic people's republics.
