Jacaringia is a canton of the Grand Duchy of Lac Glacei. It is one of the largest cantons geographically and controls grand duchy's shoreline as well as the only major seaport, Ergo Sum. The Imperial Isles and Ergo Sum are home to Lac Glacei's maritime industry.
History
Originally the eastern half of Cognito, Jacaringia was home the the capital of the United Imperium for many years. After the restoration of the grand duchy, the region was split from Cognito to allow for greater self-rule. It was named in honor of former Emperor Jacobus.
