Montaña Blanca is an active stratovolcano located north-west of the North Antarctic city of Livingston. It was previously thought to be dormant, however, seismologists working in Livingston following the 2020 Antarctic micrasquakes detected activity consistent with an imminent eruption, resulting in an evacuation of Livingston.
