The Central Naval Initiative was a plan by the Union Australis to shift the naval centre of the Northern Fleet of the Great Southern Armada from Porto Vormouna to a series of four mobile command bases in the centre of the sea between Tapfer, Apollonia, and Eura. The plan would leave Porto Vormoouna with a few small corvettes and patrol boats for security, but most naval assets would be relocated to the sea.
