Developed from Project-1651, the design of a gravimetric pinnace intended to serve as a long range tender for Shireroth's fleet of gravrigs such as the Medusa and the Imperial Yacht. The Nereid serves as a dedicated long-range patrol counter part to the gravimetric utility vehicle known as the Jackalope.

Design features

  • Gravimetric drive to provide lift
  • paired chemical ion vectral jet drives on gimbals to provide thrust and controlled descent systems redundancy
  • cockpit seating for pilot and navigator / weapons system operator
  • paired external hard-points for anti-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, air to ground missiles, or deployable autonomous sensors
  • aft-cabin station seating four, three mid-cabin stations plus one VERITAS terminal seating one each, configured for real-time sensor monitoring and advanced weapons control, with cabin stations reconfigurable according to mission requirements
  • crew rest cabin, and cargo racks in rear compartment
