Wheals (officially the Kingdom of Wheals) is a former Crandish and Arminian duchy, now a kingdom within the Anglo-Saksen Commonwealth.

History

The Whealsh are a smaller tribe that have a long history but have otherwise been obscured by more prominent tribes over the years. Originating in Karnali on Keltia they were pushed by hostile tribes to cross the Strait of Pearls into Apollonia and settle in the Anglo-Saxon Commonwealth. Unlike many of the other tribes that originated from the south and west, this eastern tribe bore distinct traits carried over from their origins on a different continent. Whereas most tribes in the Crandish sphere had armies based almost entirely of cavalry, the Whealsh brought with them wheeled chariots. The distinctively-colored wheels that adorned these vehicles made them visually arresting on the field of battle and the tribes' name came from this feature (Wheals = wheels). Over the years the tribe was culturally assimilated by the dominant Crandish population, but the tradition of chariot riders has been carried in to modern times and is still a source of pride to the Whealsh people.
