Walstädter Fischstäbchen are a Protected Regional Product under the Xäiville Convention

Walstädter Fischstäbchen' are a processed fish product from Walstadt, Walstadt and Light in the Confoederatio Aemilia. These rectangular pieces of fish are made by freezing the fish, then sawing them into rectangles, battering and breading them and then deep-frying them. The battering includes special herbs and spices from the Walstadt region and magenta berries from the island of Murder, that give the Fischstäbchen its famous magenta glow. Walstädter Fischstäbchen are a Protected Regional Product under the Xäiville Convention.
