Viscount Kern is a title of nobility in the Imperial Peerage of Shireroth, created by Kaiseress Noor in 1649 for Benjamin Kern.
Uniquely, the title by-passes the normal rules of succession for noble titles (in which only legitimate children may inherit). Imperial Decree 919, which created the title, stipulated: We bestow upon Lord Benjamin Sebasokrator Timothy Quentin Kern the degree, dignity and title of Viscount Kern, of Kern Ward in Pinito's Proctology Palace in the Imperial City of Shirekeep. The title shall succeed to his descendants, with preference to the eldest, with no discrimination on gender or whether born within or outside marriage, or whether biological or adopted.
