The Veterans Association of Oportia (VAO) is the largest non-governmental organization serving military veterans in Oportia, established in 1710 AN following the Yamaqhachan insurgency. Headquartered in Vanie with branch offices in all 33 federal cities, the Association provides a wide range of services including healthcare support, employment assistance, educational opportunities, and advocacy for veteran-friendly legislation. The VAO operates under the motto "Honor Through Service" and maintains close working relationships with the Department of National Defense and the Department of Health and Social Services while remaining politically independent.
