Vember & Co Private Bank (Gotzborg) GmbH was founded by Jeremy Vember on behalf of the government of the Principality of Fergustein, in which the company was headquartered.
History
The bank, represented during the application process by Michael Bentley, sought accreditation from the Home Office on May 9, 2006 pursuant to the Banking Regulatory Act. The bank's equity was 100% held by Vember and fully underwritten by Fergustein's treasury.
Ultimately, the bank was unable to raise the necessary funds to pay the requisite business registration fee in Gotzborg, and withdrew its application on June 22, 2006.
