Tupaq Vilca (b. 17.VI.1706 AN) is a New Alexandrian public figure of the Wechua Nation and the Chief Coordinator of the Mountain Solidarity Associations, the network of alpine rescue, conservation, and mutual-aid clubs of the highlands of Nouvelle Alexandrie.[1] He is a younger son of Rawa Vilca, 1st Duke of Salcedo, and a member of the House of Vilca, though as a younger son he did not inherit the family's titles.
As Chief Coordinator, Vilca heads the network's Federal Alpine Council, which directs its member associations around Mount Lacara and the Rodinia ranges and maintains the National Mountain Rescue Protocol.[2] His work in the associations continues the family's long association with the public and communal life of the Wechua Nation, organized around the traditional principles of ayni and mink'a.
