Treaty of Andamouth

The Treaty of Andamouth is an agreement between the Imperial Republic of Shireroth and the Bovic Draconian State in Modan, negotiated and ratified in 1699 AN. The primary effect of this treaty was the dissolution of Drak-Modan as a sovereign country and its reintegration into Shireroth. The second such successful reabsorption of a vulture state since the dawn of the Kalirion Fracture, this was the first instance conducted via diplomacy rather than military conquest.

The treaty was negotiated by John Hilding Waffel-Paine and Cassian Wythe in the coastal town of Andamouth, located in eastern Draconia.

Treaty of Reintegration of the Modan under the Golden Mango Throne

The Bovic Draconian State in Modan, in view of its need for the stable hand of the Radiant Sun to bring peace and prosperity to its lands and its peoples, to reestablish beneficial relations with the community of nations, to rebuild its economy, and to ensure the public welfare for all in the Modan, does contract with the Imperial Republic of Shireroth, the fulcrum of civilization and seat of the most-high, the giver of mercy and justice, bestower of blessings and punishments, this treaty, which has been negotiated in good faith by representatives from each governing party.

ARTICLE I

The Bovic Draconian State in Modan hereby cedes, absolutely and without reserve, to the Imperial Republic of Shireroth all rights of sovereignty of whatsoever kind in and over those territories in the Modan and the Draconic Islands which presently are governed by the Bovic Draconian State in Modan.

ARTICLE II

The Modan shall be reintegrated under the Golden Mango Throne as the Duchy of Modan. The Crown of Malarboria and the right to the title of Duke of Modan shall be presented to Nathan Anders Aharsi Waffel-Paine of Drak, for whom title had been contracted and not passed on in accordance with Shirerithian Law.

The Draconic Islands shall be reintegrated under the Golden Mango Throne as the County Palatine of Draconia. The Crown of Draconia shall remain in the possession of John Hilding Waffel-Paine, and this title shall be accorded the recognition of Shirerithian Law.

ARTICLE III

The All public, government, or crown lands, public buildings, ports, harbors, military equipment, and all other public property of every king and description that had belonged to the Bovic Draconian State in Modan is ceded and hereby transferred to the Golden Mango Throne. Lieutenancies shall be created to manage these properties, which will coincide with the demesnes as they exist at the time that this treaty is ratified. Existing laws of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth relative to public lands shall be enforced by Lieutenants to the Golden Mango Throne.

Revenues generated by the above public lands, excepting those designated specifically for military or naval purposes, shall be used solely for the benefit of the inhabited population of that Lieutenancy.

ARTICLE IV

Existing treaties of the Bovic Draconian State in Modan with foreign nations shall forthwith cease, while existing treaties of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth with foreign nations shall forthwith apply within the Duchy of Modan and the County Palatine of Draconia. Foreign affairs for these regions shall hereafter be conducted by the Golden Mango Throne.

Until such time as a new government is established for the Duchy of Modan, officers of the existing government therein shall continue exercising their offices under the direction of their presiding Lieutenant to the Golden Mango Throne. Administrative law shall be maintained and enforced until such time as it is replaced by new administrative law.

ARTICLE V

The public debt of the Bovic Draconian State in Modan, lawfully existing at the date of this treaty's ratification, is hereby assumed by the Golden Mango Throne. Payment on this debt shall be made by the government of the County Palatine of Draconia. Failure to service this debt may be grounds for the County Palatine of Draconia to be placed in receivership under the direct governing authority of a Lieutenant to the Golden Mango Throne.

ARTICLE VI

The Island of Sabatini is recognized as the territory of Unified Governorates of Benacia.
