Traditional Party of 1680

The Traditional Party of 1680 is a political party that is active in Sankt Ludwigshafen. Since the establishment of the First Republic in 1680 the party has always had a supermajority in the Stadtparlement, the national legislative organ. Presidents that have governed over Sankt Ludwigshafen on behalf of the Traditional Party are founder Siegfried von der Elfenbeinküste, Klaudius Buchsteller and Adam Rettich. The traditional lesser rival of the Traditional Party is the Slight Reform Party of 1681 which was moderately succesful in the elections of 1683 and the pro-forma elections of 1686. In 1697 the Tekeel Party was established that consists of hardliners previously belonging to the Traditional Party, believing that the Traditional Party is too much focused on adapting Sankt Ludwigshafen to the rest of Micras, rather than promoting Nazarene ideas.

The Traditional Party is often considered a conservative party, but has at times shown that it is able to change with the times. When in 1690 most of the nation converted to the Nazarene faith, the Traditional Party recognized that it needed to follow suit.
