NATOPIA AND AEMILIA SIGN HISTORIC TERRITORY EXCHANGE TREATY

- Natopia Gains Strategic Felsbrücken Region In Exchange For Principality Of Whales
- Treaty Establishes Ninety-Day Visa-Free Travel Between Nations
- Diplomatic Missions To Be Established In Both Countries
- Joint Councils Will Foster Cooperation In Culture, Education, Science And Trade
- Agreement Follows Months Of Quiet Diplomatic Negotiations
SANKT ROSA, AEM -- Natopian and Aemilian officials signed a landmark treaty yesterday that reshapes territorial boundaries and establishes comprehensive diplomatic relations between the two nations.
The Treaty of Sankt Rosa, signed by representatives of Empress Vadoma I and Princess Emilia Antoinette, transfers the city of Felsbrücken and surrounding northern countryside to Natopia while ceding the Principality of Whales to the Aemilian Confederation.
"This agreement represents a new chapter in Natopian-Aemilian relations," said the Natopian Chancellor Isabella Betancourt. "The territorial exchange benefits both nations strategically while opening doors for cultural and economic cooperation."
The treaty, effective upon ratification by both governments, includes provisions for visa-free travel between nations for up to 90 days, permanent diplomatic missions with full immunity for staff, and joint councils to promote collaboration in culture, education, science, research, and trade.
The agreement includes mechanisms for peaceful dispute resolution and prohibits either nation from engaging in military activities against the other, cementing a security partnership on Micras' southern continent.
Citizens from both transferred territories will be granted dual citizenship for ten years, allowing adequate time to settle affairs and determine permanent residency status.
Market analysts project increased trade volume between the nations, with Natopian agricultural products and manufactured goods finding new markets in Aemilia, while specialized Aemilian exports gain broader access to Natopian consumers.
The treaty represents the most significant diplomatic achievement of the current administration's southern continent policy and follows months of careful negotiations between the diplomatic corps of both nations.
