The turn towards monotheism requires the rebranding of the pantheon of the gods as angels of the archonic host, or at the very least as manifestations of aspects the highest divinity (as per Holodomatic Cedrozurvanism). Either way recalcitrant clerics would be dealt with in a memorable manner.
