Cacica Taiguey (born 14.XI.1690 AN) is the Princess-consort of Boriquén and the wife of Guarionex II, the 1st Prince of Boriquén. She married the cacique around 1712 AN, during the years of anarchy that preceded the accession of Boriquén to Nouvelle Alexandrie, a marriage that steadied the House of Guarionex through its most difficult years. She is the mother of the heir apparent, Kaonabo, Duke of Guánica, and as the consort of the Prince she is styled Her Serene Highness. Her name, from the Wakara language, is traditionally understood to mean "noble woman."
